Brief Description:
Bridge Dealer was developed to help a journalist develop a fourth Bridge hand after three Bridge hands have been selected and then open a MS Word document, add two tables and paste all Bridge hands into the top table. Bridge Dealer is $20 shareware. You can launch Bridge Dealer for ten launches before registering. Bridge Dealer is for Windows XP (sorry, there is no Mac version at this time.)

When you launch Bridge Dealer, you see the above window with separate checkboxes for each hand, suit, and rank.

Click a checkbox to select a card. Above, you see that the Ace of Spades has been selected for Hand 1. Looking carefully, you can also see that the Ace of Spades is dimmed for Hand 2 and Hand 3 checkboxes. The "Cards Checked" display indicates that one card has been selected so far. If you change your mind after you select a card, you can check it again to deselect it. A message warns if more than thirteen cards are selected for one hand.

Above you see that 39 cards have been selected for Hands 1, Hands 2 and Hands 3. The "Show Hands" button is now bold.

When you click on the "Show Hands" button, the hands are displayed in the 16 fields.

You can click on the "Reset" button at any time to start over.

If you wish to transfer these hands to a MS Word document, click on the "Transfer" button. A new MS Word document will be created and two tables will be added. The Bridge hands information will be copied into the top table. Hand 1 is North; Hand 2 is West; Hand 3 is East; Hand 4 is South. The bottom table is intended to be used to show bids.

If you wish, you can create a MS Word macro to change the "Sx" strings to spades icons, the "Hx" strings to red hearts icons, the "Dx" strings to red diamond icons, and the "Cx" strings to clubs icons.
